The Physical Heart with Marcia Morris
A bit about Marcia…I am a Registered Nurse and mother of two wonderful grown children, Chris and Kim. I was raised in Cordele, growing up in a Christian home located very near the church I attend today, still learning and growing in Christ along with the beautiful members of that church. My husband and I returned here following his Vietnam stent and have made it our home since the very early-married years. Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta is where I received my degree as an RN and began my career in the first Coronary Care Unit in Atlanta. Because of the high prevalence of Heart problems in our home area, my interest peaked early in 'Matters of the Heart'. I obtained Certification in Critical Care nursing and remained in that arena throughout most of my career, loving the challenge and the myriad of people I've met, and some hopefully helped, along the way.
Spiritual Parenting with Dr. Amy Stevens
A bit about Amy…I am a part-time pediatrician and full-time mother of three, ages 7 months to 5 years. I grew up in Alma, Georgia and have spent time in Macon and Augusta for school. Augusta is where I met and married my wonderful husband in 2000. We moved to Gainesville, Florida for medical training and then to Cordele in 2005. I grew up in a Christian home, and accepting God's word as truth came naturally for me. However, I am still learning, day by day, to seek out His will and to glorify Him as He changes my heart to look more like that of his Son.
A bit about Christine….I am a retired school teacher. I taught English for thirty-seven years in middle school, high school and college. In August 2010, I was diagnosed with Stage 4B cancer. God has been good in the months since this diagnosis. I was given only a 5% chance of survival by the doctors, but as of August 2011, God has done a healing miracle in my life. I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. However, the most wonderful description is that I am a sinner saved by grace. God obviously isn’t finished with me yet, and I praise Him daily for the work He has done and continues to do in my life.
