It’s July 2010.
The HeartChange Bible study is coming together, and we seem to have figured out what we are doing with the prayer board, announcements, discussion board, forms/reading schedules, and member lists provided at The HeartChange Login for the current members of HeartChange 2009 and 2010. Thanks, Jennifer, for assisting us with our questions, problems, and lack of technical skills.
Paul has taught us in Acts that John and Peter were given much power and much grace through the Holy Spirit. And Moses has taught us in Deuteronomy that God chooses where we worship.
You will notice on the left of this Homepage a new link entitled Articles. Once you click on Articles, you will see “Bless Your Heart” by Marcia Morris and “Exactly the Place I Need to Be” by Dr. Amy Stevens.
Marcia is an expert in the workings of the heart, and she has agreed to share with us from her wealth of education and experience. Marcia will be sharing from different perspectives—but always about the heart. Marcia possesses a very gentle spirit and is one of the most southern women I have ever known. My dad survived a major heart attack in 1980. I am especially grateful to Marcia for caring for my dad during that time. She played a significant part in giving us more than 20 plus years (and counting) to enjoy his presence, his music, and the fruit of his gardening. And I do love to hear him call me “Bee.” His faith in Jesus Christ and his love for growing things in God’s dirt continue to bless our lives every day.
Amy is a pediatrician, and she has agreed to share with us as well. Amy is a young mother of three children and, just like Marcia, will be sharing from different perspectives—but always about children. I have come to cherish the spiritual depth and the quiet, gentle spirit of Amy over the past year and a half as we have come together each month to review what we have studied in God’s Word as part of the HeartChange 2009 Bible study.
I pray you will be encouraged toward better heart health and Godly parenting as you read the articles shared by Marcia and Amy, evaluate your current lifestyle, choose to make changes that benefit your heart and your children, and apply wisdom from God’s Word so that you will live well and raise up a generation of children who will love and honor God with all of their heart, soul and mind.
